Chairman EUMC's official visit to Lithuania

The Chairman of the European Union Military Committee, Gen. Håkan Syrén, visited Vilnius, upon invitation by the Chief of Defence (CHOD) of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, Lt.Gen. Arvydas Pocius.
During his visit Gen. Syrén met with the CHOD and his closest Staff, the Minister of Defence, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Security and Defence and Foreign Affairs Committees. The discussions and exchange of views were focused on the military cooperation between the European Union and Lithuania, the CSDP operations, the capability development and the transformation and perspectives of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
Moreover, the Chairman had the opportunity to visit the Energy Security Centre where he was briefed on its role, mission and objectives.
