The Chairman of the European Union Military Committee, Gen. Bentégeat, was the keynote speaker at the 12th edition of the "Athena" conference, an annul event organised by the Greek General Defence Staff to promote discussion and exchange of views on crisis management issues between civilian and military international partners.
In his intervention, Gen. Bentégeat made an analysis of the results achieved so far since the launch in 2003 of the European Security and Defence Policy, underlining the added value provided by the European Union to the global security governance.
