The Chairman of the European Union Military Committee, Gen. Bentégeat, addressed the Subcommittee on Security and Defence of the European Parliament on the military aspects of the European Security and Defence Policy. Being one of the first sessions after having taken office, the Members of the Parliament particularly appreciated the update on operations Althea and Atalanta, respectively in Bosnia Herzegovina and off the coast of Somalia.
In addition, they showed their interest for the evolution of the Battlegroups Concept and for the ongoing activities in the capability development domain.
