14.07.2010 - High Representative Catherine Ashton visits Georgia and Kazakhstan

The High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton will visit Georgia on July 15-16. She will launch the negotiations for an EU – Georgia Association Agreement, visit the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) and meet with the leadership of the country. She will then travel to Kazakhstan and attend the Informal Meeting of ministers of foreign affairs of OSCE participating states to be held in Almaty on July 17.

29.06.2010 - High Representative Catherine Ashton met the heads of the EU civilian missions

High Representative Catherine Ashton met the EU heads of mission of the civilian Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) missions on 29 June 2010. The High Representative and the heads of mission discussed the achievements and challenges of the CSDP missions engaged in the Middle East, Afghanistan, Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Georgia, Iraq and in the Balkans. Ms Ashton commended the heads of mission for their important work performed in increasingly complex environments and emphasised that the CSDP missions continue to be a major priority for the EU.
