ANTIDUMPING: DISODIUM CARBONATE ORIGINATING IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Regulation adopted by written procedure


The Council adopted today by written procedure the Regulation imposing a definitive anti­dumping duty on imports of disodium carbonate originating in the United States of America and collecting definitively the provisional duty imposed.

The provisional anti-dumping duty had been imposed by Regulation (EC) No 823/95 and its validity extended by Regulation (EC) No 1974/95 for a period of two months expiring on 14 October 1995.

The rate of the definitive anti-dumping duty shall be 13,9% of the net, free-at-Community frontier price, before duty (Taric additional code: 8826) except for the following companies for which the rate shall be as follows:

FMC Wyoming Corporation, Philadelphia - PA 8,9%

AG Soda Corporation - New York - NY 5,5%

General Chemical (Soda Ash) Partners,

Parsipanny - NJ 2,5%

North American Chemical Company (NACC),

The duty shall not apply to products produced and exported by Tg Sode Ash Inc., Raleigh NC (Taric additional code 8825).
